In order to protect both the personal information and the general information that we receive from you through Legaler Video Meetings, we have implemented various security measures, including but not limited to PCI compliance protocols, user created User Name and Password, and data encryption, in addition to a technology called WebRTC to power our secure meeting technology. WebRTC is a strong, secure and reliable infrastructure that enables your computer to speak to other call participants.
Encryption is a mandatory feature of WebRTC, and is enforced on all components, including signaling mechanisms. As a result, all media streams sent over WebRTC are securely encrypted, enacted through standardised and well-known encryption protocols. The encryption protocol used depends on the channel type; data streams are encrypted using Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) and media streams are encrypted using Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP). This encryption renders it effectively impossible for an eavesdropper to determine the contents of a Legaler Video Meeting. Only parties that have been invited to the meeting, and thus have the secret encryption key can decode the communication streams. These keys are created dynamically before each meeting and even change during the call to ensure the security of your meeting. Further information about WebRTC security can be found at : http://webrtc-security.github.io/.
Moreover, all media traffic is encrypted no matter the endpoint you use (web or mobile) or the session setup you choose (P2P or multiparty). That means that you are safe when using Legaler Video Meetings even if use it in an open public hotspot. Legaler Video Meetings endpoints use the AES cipher with 128-bit keys to encrypt audio and video, and HMAC-SHA1 to verify data integrity. The endpoints generate random keys at the beginning of the session and in addition they change periodically during the conversation to make it even safer.
