Tom Yacko brings a diversity of background, discipline and outlook to Orange County and greater southern California that informs his measured approach to litigation and business transactions.
Schlau Rogers LLP welcomes Tom Yacko to the firm in an Of Counsel capacity in the Business Law practice. Tom is a current associate at Peirano & Associates Inc. where he continues to hone his business litigation skills. Since becoming a member of the Bar, Tom has almost exclusively worked in the cannabis industry, focusing primarily on the corporate and strategic legal needs of local cannabis companies across a broad range of issues. Tom has advised numerous companies at all stages of litigation and continues to assist them in navigating California's rapidly evolving cannabis landscape.
Tom brings deep and varied experience to Schlau Rogers LLP’s Business Law practice, and will particularly focus on advising cannabis businesses in Orange County and greater southern California through transactional matters including corporate formation, structuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other private transactions.
Tom is active in the entrepreneurial community in Orange County and greater southern California. He rejoins Joshua Rogers and Matthew Schlau, long-time colleagues and friends. The addition of Tom to the Schlau Rogers LLP team further expands the Business Law practice, which continues to help clients grow, create and protect in life and business.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with double emphasis in Business Management and Finance, as well as minors in English and Philosophy from the University of San Diego, along with a Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law.
Tom joins Schlau Rogers LLP in an Of Counsel capacity to assist in a wide-range of transactional matters with a particular focus on advising cannabis businesses in Orange County and greater southern California.
